Welcome to the Quarterly Update provided by Dutton Fisher Associates. We aim to keep you updated on the latest Training & Development news.

Creating a Coaching Culture Within Your Organisation

Jo FisherWhy create a coaching culture?
Introducing a coaching approach and providing managers with coaching skills to utilise in their daily work is an intrinsic part of achieving employee engagement. Coaching is a very powerful tool for enhancing skills, releasing potential, freeing up resources and unblocking barriers, all of which lead to increased performance.

Coaching in the Housing Sector

In the housing sector, there is a movement from a performance-focused culture to one centred around learning and development. Evidence for this can be found in the increasing number of social landlords entering the Times Top 100 Best Companies listings and securing ever-higher placings year on year.

How can we help you to build a coaching culture?
DFA are able to offer a comprehensive package of support, training and development to enable you to introduce and embed a coaching approach across the organisation.

What do we offer?

  • Provision of 1-2-1 coaching to your senior leadership/management team to provide direct, personal experience of effective and influential coaching and to ensure their buy-in to establishing a coaching, learning and development culture
  • Training appropriate members of staff (frequently middle managers) in coaching with the delivery of an Institute of Leadership and Management Level 3 Award in Professional Workplace Coaching or the Level 3 Certificate for Professional Coaches
  • Provision of professional supervision and support for the trainee coaches during the qualification period
  • Development of a bespoke Coaching Toolkit for your organisation to provide a plain guide and practical framework to “how coaching works round here”, relevant paperwork, guidance notes for managers and employees
  • On-going supervision and assessment on a bi-annual basis for qualified coaches to ensure competency is maintained and is linked to on-going continuous development
  • On-going skills development opportunities through bi-annual workshops to broaden coaching experience, introduce new tools and techniques

Who do you contact for more information?
